- These books are very short. I am sure the woven type material they are made with and the sewn binding will last through my book loving destroyer, but I was hoping that they were better written and longer. There is NOTHING to the story line in either book I purchased and even for a toddler you can make it a little more fun/cute. I liked the illustrations.
- I got this for my nephew who puts everything in his mouth and doesn't understand the meaning of gentle or careful. It's wrinkled but standing. He's 8 months so he's not looking for literary genius but the pictures hold his attention and I can trust him to entertain himself with the book and know it will still be intact.
- My kids tend to take devouring books a little too literally as babies and toddlers. Indestructibles are a welcome respite from our bookshelf full of books missing their corners. This one in particular was a big hit with my daughter who is almost 2 and loves farm animals and bright colors. I wish all baby books were made like this!
- These books are so fantastic for small babies! They are colorful, simple, and pleasant! And now my baby is starting to reach and grab, these books are perfect because he can flap it around without worrying about hurting himself like if he hit himself in the face with a board book!
- We love these indestructible books. That said, my twin sons care more about trying to destroy them instead of reading them.
With board books they’re careful, which leads me to believe these are more of a toy for them than reading material. The bonus IS the reading material, when they’re interested at least! - If you haven’t purchased indestructible books before don’t be put off when you receive them and they seem like “nothing†for $8!!! They are AMAZING!!! This one is pretty lame in terms of content but my 1 year old cant read yet anyway.
- My daughter in law told me about these indestructible books! They are awesome! Chewable, washable, they won’t tear! So glad we found these as my granddaughter was ingesting the corners of her board books.
