"What an inspiration! I wasn't excited about this book when I was younger, but now that I'm working out and training to compete in fencing tournaments at a relatively ridiculous age, I really identify with the athletes pictured. I'd love to meet some of them. The cover guy must be a real character!"

  • What an inspiration! I wasn't excited about this book when I was younger, but now that I'm working out and training to compete in fencing tournaments at a relatively ridiculous age, I really identify with the athletes pictured. I'd love to meet some of them. The cover guy must be a real character!
  • Yes! You must read this book. Inspiring for all ages!
  • This is a vintage gift book for a vintage guy. I have remembered this book since I first saw it years ago and was glad to have found it. My seven decades now make me appreciate it more than ever.
  • This book will give anyone saying "I'm too old for that" a swift kick in the bejeezus. The beauty of the photos lies not in the pieced together products of plastic enhancement, nor a silly striving towards unnatural physical imagery, but a steering towards excellence with a natural grace, not contingent upon the looks factor but upon the look what's possible factor. A book full of eye-popping eye candy for the 20-40 something set. "I can" is so much more explicit in this book than just "I wish I could". Get the book, then get a life! I so recommend both.
  • Inspirational
  • A great illustration of fit senior citizens - we should all strive to be like these folks. My Mom bought this book when it was first published mainly because the 'cover boy' was our neighbor. I have since also purchased the updated version of the book. Great job Etta Clark!
  • I'm not afraid to get old - love each year I'm granted and will be tickled to be with the Lord when it's my time....but I'm NOT gonna be one of those sickies who live on pills and their whole lives are slaves to all their different doctors!

If we can prevent some illnesses and wearing down of our bodies just by USING them - and we CAN - then why not? There are no rules on when you get old you can't work out or run, paddle, ski, wheel, bike, or whatever you want to do....

this book (and the next one in the series) is awesome for that motivational push!
    If they can, I can...and if I can...you can!
  • I have had this book for many years and have bought a number of copies for athletic friends on their birthdays as they grow older.
