• Of the three volumes so far of this adult oriented swashbuckling, interplanetary series, The Champion of Zenina, is my favorite some, but not all plot theads are now resolved, many male and female characters have matured, and the mixture of the late pagan turning into a Christian Roman empire with a dash of restoration King Charles II England is becoming more absorbing to this reader. Princess Marina, after surviving a near death experience (spoiler alert), revives in time to prevent her Aunt from becoming the power behind the thorne. The gladiatorial battle to the not quite the death between be the Princess Marina and her Aunt is a fine piece of action writing and is worthy of
  Edgar Rice Burroughs and Robert E Howard. Do I recommend it--you bet I do!
