Royal Dragons A ThreeBook Paranormal Shifter Series Selina Coffey Books Reviews
- The 1st book seemed interesting. The 2nd story was not even holding my attention.
- A first for me reading this author. Will definitely keep an eye out for other books. Good read. Read whole series in two days.
- This is an amazing Box Set telling of Dragon Princes who will discover that Fate has bound them to the human hunters for a reason and altered the destiny of the dragon world forever. I have picked two of my absolute favorite stories to give you an example of how good this set is!
*** Reviewing BOOK 1 - DESTINY OF THE DRAGON PRINCE ***
With a confused look, the doctor told Arista that he could find nothing wrong; the tests were all normal. Her sickness was taking away her strength, but no one knew why. Her head ached with migraines, she was constantly fatigued, her nausea was relentless. Now her joints had begun to ache, her hair had thinned, her lymph glands were swollen, and she had old age brown spots on her hands at the age of 23. Arista needed answers and decided to seek out her “crazy†mother whom her dad divorced because she believed in dragons. When she found her, her mom told her the females in the family were all dragon hunters!
The dragons were told that a fortress of dragon hunters had been found. Their King ordered that the security team kill all of them, just in case they one day produced a powerful hunter, their own blood already weakened. But Mal’s head buzzed the closer they flew. When a human walked out of the house, he scented her and knew this was his mate! Arista was very weak by now, but she could be saved once she was near her mate. His mere presence had already started to heal her.
Arista had smelled a familiar scent and went into the yard to check its source. A wolf jumped on her, and dragons flew down to stop the wolves who wanted to “turn†females so they could breed and renew their dwindling population. As the wolves were being taken away, the leader quickly turned and jumped on Arista, using his claws to swipe at her leg! Could he “turn†her that way? And what would happen to Mal once he realized his mate was a sworn enemy – a dragon hunter? His father would never allow that! Yet his connection was already too strong to let go! They had briefly had a taste of each other, and nothing would ever be the same!
Slow starting but mysterious, this book quickly picked up speed and kept readers on the edge of their seats! The characters became more real as they had to react quickly to a number of serious situations!
*** Reviewing BOOK 2 - DEFYING THE DRAGON PRINCE ***
Willow listened to the baby crying in the woods where they were preparing for her cousin’s wedding to a dragon. It was so odd that a dragon huntress was marrying her dragon mate! Why would fate put that combination together?? Likewise strange is that Willow, also a dragon huntress, knew now that fate set her up to mate with a dragon! That is not what she wished! She wanted love and romance, not the power of fate literally forcing her into this impractical relationship. Combine that with the fact that Henry was a jerk! He flaunted his wealth as if that would entice her to be his! He had no idea that she had grown up poor and this was not behavior she would respond to. She hated how gorgeous he was. She didn’t want to desire him in any way! But looking at him filled her with longings – all driven by the mating urge and not by love! She was not going to voluntarily give in to it!
The reader will positively love Willow and Henry as they each battle to control their fates. Willow tries to stubbornly resist the mate-bond. Henry mistakenly tries to win Willow’s heart by behaving in a way he thinks will make her want him – but he’s wrong. She just wants to fall in love as others do and know that her mate really loves her too, not just because fate is forcing them together. And, there is something else strange going on that you won’t want to miss!
This story is filled with emotion, longing and frustration. Can each of them come to realize their mistakes and correct them in time to find the love they are fated to have – and to know that it’s real? Here are all 3 books, the complete collection – grab your copy and enjoy! - Dragons, Shifters, Wolves, Bears, Vampires, Demons, Slayers, magic and much much more in this three book series about three dragons, Malcolm, Henry and Aleric who all find their mates, Arista, Willow and Edana.
The first read is about Malcolm and Arista who start off the story. Arista is unaware of dragons and other such beings but her mother, who is labelled as crazy, does believe in them. When Arista becomes deathly ill she goes to find her mother for some answers but what she ends up finding is more questions when she comes face to face with Malcolm, her mate. Being near him heals her and when they are apart, she becomes ill again. But her blood is a slayer and his world is afraid of her, especially his dad, the King....can they find peace or will they be on the run forever.
The second read is about Henry and Willow and Willow is Arista’s cousin who has the same slayer blood but hers is stronger. She tries her hardest to resist Henry and it’s easy because of the arrogant flashy man he is portraying but once he shows her his real self, she can’t resist anymore. The same problem lies with them as well, apart they are weak but together they are strong. Their only problem is her will to kill dragons as she has no control over it....will she learn to tame that side of her to be with Henry.
The third read is about Edana, a woman who used to babysit Willow and has now come back, she’s attracted to Aleric, the youngest brother and what she discovers while being with him, is nothing compared to the other two.
A great box set that flowed beautifully into each other, with dragons, slayers, vampires, shifters, bears, wolves, demons, elders, magic, other worlds, women and so much more. All the reads had steam and what I enjoyed the most is once they were mated...that was it...no second guessing, no regrets, just true love. I loved how it all tied in and the last book explained it all and solved the mystery of the King with a bit of action. Only thing missing for me was the last read was only in 1 POV, I missed the dual POV’s that the two before had and I would have loved to have known the thoughts of the other main character.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
