"If you like advanced mathematics and music theory, this is a pretty good book. It is a collection of topics of current applications of mathematics and music theory. The organization of the topics seems a little disjointed, there are some typos and a few poorly worded sentences (presumably because English is not the author's native language), but altogether, not a bad effort in what must be the first compilation of such topics. I felt that in some chapters, I was missing the punchline; the mathematics was there, but I failed to see the relevance and wanted more examples of the interplay between the math and the music. There are plenty of these types of examples in general, but only in certain sections; other sections are very sparse. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on knots and braids; it seemed well-written."
